作曲家としてカーネギーデビューを果たしました。
私のオーケストラ作品《The Red Book Suite》が、Andrew Gekoskie氏の指揮、Harmony Honors Philharmonia Orchestraの演奏により、カーネギーホール Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage で演奏されました。
数々の偉大な音楽家たちの歴史が刻まれてきたこのホールで、自分の作品が響く瞬間を聴くことができたことは、言葉にしきれないほど深い喜びでした。
この作品はブルガリアで作曲し、その後、国を越え、多くの演奏家たちと出会いながら育ってきました。
この作品を信じ、カーネギーホールまで連れてきてくださったAndrew Gekoskie氏、情熱を持って演奏してくださった音楽家の皆さん、そしてこれまで支えてくださったすべての方々に、心より感謝申し上げます。
また、ニューヨークで第一線で活躍する音楽家の方々が会場に足を運び、私の作品を聴いてくださったことも、私にとって大きな喜びでした。
日本人の作曲家として、そして複数の文化の中で音楽を作ってきた一人のアーティストとして、この瞬間は私にとって大きな意味を持つものでした。音楽が、またひとつ、新しい扉を開いてくれました。到達点ではなく、新しい始まりです。
My orchestral work The Red Book Suite was performed at Carnegie Hall, Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, by the Harmony Honors Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Andrew Gekoskie.
To hear my own music resonate in a hall where so much musical history has been made was a joy too deep for words.This piece was composed in Bulgaria, and since then it has grown across borders, meeting many musicians along the way.
My heartfelt gratitude goes to Andrew Gekoskie, who believed in this work and brought it to Carnegie Hall; to the musicians who performed it with such passion and dedication; and to everyone who has supported me on this journey.
As a Japanese composer, and as an artist who has created music across multiple cultures, this moment carries a profound meaning for me.Music has opened another new door.This is not the destination.
It is the beginning of a new chapter.
